Spelling Bee

I love when random ideas come up. I had just finished giving the girls their spelling tests for the today, when somehow the idea of having a spelling bee came up. I lined up the girls and gave them lists of words from the Spelling Power book we use for our spelling curriculum. Pf had a harder list and Dragonfly was given words according to what I knew she could spell (mainly at family words). The winner of each round got a sour patch kid. They had so much fun that I made them each a list which they are quizing each other with now so they can have another spelling bee when their friends get here later. I am not sure why I didn't think of this before, I have never seen them so excited to study spelling words.
