Around Town

I have really been enjoying our Fridays the past few weeks. Pf has been taking her art class and the rest of us have been enjoying having fun around our small town. Today was a lot of fun. We spent the morning at the library. Butterfly and ladybug were super excited because today they got their first library cards. Butterfly spent awhile carefully picking out seven books to check out. The girls have really enjoyed and benefited from the games and stories on the computers. Today, Ladybug found a game that had her counting money to purchase items. This was such great reinforcement for the math we are going over right now. I spend my time there catching up on blogging, paying bills and everything else that is more difficult to do with the internet on my phone.

We left the library and dropped Pf off. Our next stop was the bank. This was an"educational" experience for us all. There was a cop there and the girls had enough courage to ask him what he did. He was a cop for the hospital which brought about so many questions.

We left the bank and headed to the fudge shop for a special Friday treat. The girls picked out cookies and cream and fudge m&ms. We sat outside in the bear plaza to enjoy our snack.

Then on to the Pepsi museum shop. We watch a movie on the history of pepsi while the girls had a small drink. Caleb Bradham created this drink in New Bern in 1898. Pepsi was first called Brad's drink.

We first our afternoon with a bit of window shopping and even picked up a few gifts.

Sounds like fun. I would love to live in a small town like that. :) Glad you are being so positive and enjoying every day!
